Funny story

Hello, everyone. How are you?
I write about recently that made me laugh. This is my husband talked to me 2weeks ago.
It was so hot outside then. Surprisingly, it reached 100 degrees fahrenheit. Record-high temperature.

Mr.A who is my husband's coworker. He always wears cowboy hat because he is from Arizona.( I don't know his name, so I call him Mr.A.) He is nice friendly person. That' why, sometimes he talks with him.

My husband parked his car and walked to his office in the morning. He met Mr. A then.
My husband : " It is soooooooo hot ,today!!!!! It seems to reach 100 degrees F."
Mr.A : "Yea, But Arizona is more hotter than this temperature. The temperature climbs to around 122 degrees fahrenheit!"
My husband : "Oh! That's amazing! How do you keep body cool?"
Mr.A : " I tell you Arizona method!!!
The best method is.....
to lie face-up and to put a wet towel on the chest and abdomen!!! Keep it and sleep!!"

He spoke with gestures. It was so funny.They laughed so hard. My husband talked to me. Of course I laughed too!

Favorite places

Hello. It's too hot, today! I hate this weather. I hope that temperatures to fall.
By the way, I write new topic "Where are my top 5 favorite places to go in Washington and why they are my favorite places?".

My top5 favorite places are:

1. First, I really like to go to discount shops. "Ross dress for Less", "Marshalls", "Nordstrom lack", "T.J. Maxx", "Tuesday morning" and "Chalsea premium outlets". There are some discount shops in Washington. Especially, I like "Marshalls". Because it have many products of superior in quality.

2.Second, I enjoy going to "Michael's" at the Crossroad Mall. (I enjoy going to "Joann "also) I like craft arts and oil painting, so I often go there. We can see fake flowers, some beads, clays, oil colors and so on.

3.Third, I like walking to the lake boren park. I often go there with Mingming. The park has lake which We can walk along. Many people take their dogs. Children play and shriek with laughter .This park is comfortable, so I like it.

4.Fourth, I really like looking furnitures. I often go to the stores. Particularly, I like "Crate & Barrel" and "Kasala". Those have stylish objects and modern furnitures. If you have not been the shops and you like looking furnitures, you will try to go them.
( In case of antique furniture, "EATHAN ALLEN" is also good! But it isn't inexpensive.)

5.Fifth, we often enjoy eating sushi at the "I love sushi on Lake Bellevue". The sushi is fresh and taste good! I recommend this restaurant. Table seat is good , But I like a counter even more! Because we can see a cook who is skilled in Japanese cuisine. We love sushi. When I eat them, I feel happy!

Creative cookies

Hello!

This time, I made creative cookies. I bought cookies book before.
The cookie something that I've always wanted to do. Because icing cookies look beautiful in the book.


Imagine what kind of ingredient do icing include?
Answer is...powder suger and the white of an egg and food coloring.

When I mixed icing ingredient, I added powder suger too much. (Because, I bought Japanese book. The egg size is different from Japan and USA. Japanese eggs is bigger than USA eggs) It become hard when dried. That's why, I had to paint cookies as rapidly as possible.
But I enjoyed making cookies! I hope I will try again.

My favorite movies

Hello! class.
My favorite movies are "Laputa: Castle in the sky", "Nausicaa of the valley of the wind" and "Wisper of the heart". Those animation movies really moved me.
I want children to watch the movie "Laputa Castle in the sky" and " Wisper of the heart". Because those are fabulous! I think those movies are worthwhile.
Those animation films written and directed by Hayao Miyazaki. (Those films released by Stadio Ghibili)
In Japan, Hayao Miyazaki is very famous. We love his movies.
If you didn't watch those movies yet , You should watch them!

In my free time

Hello,
everyone.

In my free time, I spend the time painting, drawing, reading, watching movies and clay works.
Specially, I like oil painting nowadays.

When I was junior high school student, I started oil painting. But, I didn't like oil painting at that time. I had not been oil painting around 10 years.
I started it again this year.

First picture's subject: Mont Saint-Michel in France. We visited there on honeymoon. It was so beautiful.

The second picture: It is not finish yet... I am painting on the model of the movie poster.

The third picture: I tried abstract painting first time. I wanted to paint picture which decorate on the wall.

Clay Cake.

I like to make things with clay.

Finally, Clay cake is finished today. It took a lot of time. But, that was fan.

I made those fake fruits from resin clay. The box is made from pepar clay and pasted fabric in box.

I think real cake is so cute, so I hoped the box make for real.
Mmm..... I want to eat real cake.

Victoria B.C.

This time, I write about Victoria B.C. and The Butchart Gardens.

We took a ferry with our Vehicles from Friday Harbor(San juan Island) to Sidney(Canada). We arrived at Victoria B.C. in the evening.

Victoria is so beautiful city. It looks like England.

We can see some flowers, a building built of brick (historical buildings). The streets are lined with neat rows of stores.

We enjoyed dinner and walking.

July 4th, We went to the Butchart Gardens.
I recommend this gardens. Because there are so many beautiful flowers! I was surprised to see this garden.

we can see Sunken garden, Bog garden, Rose garden, Japanese garden and Italian garden.

Finaly, we went to restaurant. I ate afternoon tea.
I had a happy time.

It's fun to be luxurious once in a while.

You should go to the butchart gardens , if you have chance!

San Juan island !

We went to San Juan Island and Victoria B.C. from july 2 to July 4. This time, I write about San juan island.

San juan Island is well known as the place that orca whales living. During the warmer months, three pods (families) of orcas make their home around the San Juan Islands.

I had been wanted watching them. that's why ,we decided to go a Whale Watching tour.

I finally Watched orcas!! I took this picture.I was excited ! (But, my husband got seasick. I am so sorry. )

We went to Pelindaba Lavender on July 3.

I had never seen Lavender farm.
There are several colors Lavender.

We can buy Lavender based products.

We bought Lavender ice cream and Lavender Lemonade. Good smell and delicious. I enjoyed then.

Next time, I will write Victria B.C. !

Cute!

Yesterday, I went to grocery store and I found cute Cakes!!

This is hamburger cake. In USA, there are some funny cakes.Very Big!! Maybe some children like this cake. I wonder how it taste.

Those are Sesami Street character, ELMO and COOKIE MONSTER!

So cute! :) But Cookie Monster has a little bit strange face.

I like to see cakes.

When I will find funny cakes, I will show you again.

Michael Jackson passed away. I'm so sad. When I was 9years old, I heard his song. After that, I have loved him. When I was happy ,when I was sad, I always hear his song.
He is my hero, forever. Thank you, Michael.

Hi, everyone.
Welcome to my blog. My English is poor. I want to speak English more fluently. So I try writing this blog in English.

This summer, I set three specific goals to improve my English skills. I have a limited vocabulary. My first goal is to enlarge my vocabulary. To do this, I will memorize English words at least 10 words a week. My second goal is to improve listening skills. I will watch TV in English or listen to radio as much time as possible. My third goal is to improve my English conversational skills. Now, I speak in English at class 2 hours and at private tutoring 1 hour a week. But I need more practice to speak English. So, I will speak English with my husband at least 20 minutes a week. And sometimes I will meet friends who speak in English. I will try my best !
